2017 U.S. Senior Open
June 26 – July 2, 2017
Salem Country Club in Peabody, Massachusetts
Salem Country Club, in Peabody, MA, has been selected to host the 2017 United States Senior Open Championship. This is the second time the club will be showcased across the globe as the host site for the U.S. Senior Open and marks the sixth United States Golf Association (USGA) event to be played at Salem, including the 1954 U.S. Women’s Open won by Babe Didrikson Zaharias.
Even though Player, Nicklaus and Palmer’s professional playing days are over, the next generation of senior golfers are ready to face the famed Donald Ross designed course in June 2017. Some of the biggest names on the PGA TOUR Champions including Fred Couples, John Daly, Bernhard Langer, Davis Love III and Tom Watson are expected to play at Salem.
Will Tom Watson cap off a storybook career with a win at Salem? Can Bernhard Langer solidify his status as one of the most decorated players in senior golf history? Will Fred Couples win his first major championship in four years?
What we do know is that in 2017 the stars will once again align in Peabody as history returns to Salem.
